Teriyaki Double Take

Teriyaki double take! I made this sauce from vegweb.com and DR liked it so much I made two dishes with it!

First, teriyaki tofu wrap. Press, slice, marinade. Bake and wrap with some spinach. Second, I used the marinade to soak some homemade seitan (from vcon) before frying it up in a pan. I steamed some broccoli on the side and then tossed them together. Cashew bits completed the dish. Both were quick, easy, and very tasty!

I have some really nice Teriyaki, but I'm afraid to use it on my tofu. I'd like to if I can get enough water out, so that it will absorb properly. Do you know how I can do this? I'm tired of soggy tofu...

hi stella!

yikes, i have been MIA on here.

you will want to press your tofu - there are lot of threads/info on how to do that online, including vegweb. i actually use a tofu press. it is crazy but i love it. it does a great job
